Tarlac: Tourist Spots

Monasterio de Tarlac

- If you are up for a religious and spiritual journey then this place one to visit. The Monasterio de Tarlac is a monastery on top of Mount Resurrection, a mountain that is part of the Zambales Mountain Range in San Jose, one of the municipalities of Tarlac. The monastery's construction was concluded in the year 2000, and within the vicinity we can find the colossal statue of the Risen Christ as well as Relic of the True Cross that is enshrined inside the monastery chapel. It was said that in 2007, a splinter of the said cross was brought from Germany to the Philippines which now resides at the white Baroque chapel. This place is perfect to slow down and to reflect because of its calming air and the silence brought by the surrounding trees.

Anzap Twin Falls

- If you're feeling for nature and trekking then the Anzap Twin Falls is the route to go! Located in Barangay Bigabiga in Mayantac, it is a 200 feet waterfalls in which the volume of the water varies depending on the season. Most of the area is covered in lush greenery. Most of the trips going to the falls may require overnight, and there might be a few challenging trails but overall it's all worth it because of the beautiful view and good resting spots. Bigbiga was first known when one of the biggest logging operation and sawmill was established by Mr. Vicente Lu.The once quiet barangay came to life.Economic status of the residents was raised. After the operation, the virgin forests were left to near devastation. Then came ANZAP (ASEAN -NEW ZEALAND AFFORESTATION PROJECT). Bigbiga again came into life again and the once deforested area was reforested.

Kart City

-  If you want to just have fun and go on a food trip then the next destination is Kart City Tarlac. Kart City Tarlac or KCT started back in 2003 of May and was named because of the people behind it loved karting. Sir Pio Arugay was hooked into the Formula 1 fever and wanted to share the love by building a racetrack in Tarlac City. KCT was known for its World Class Karting faciilities. The race track has a lot of space for racers and the go-karts themselves are from Europe. Aside from racing, they also have facilities where you can hang-out with your friends or families such as billiard tables, karaoke booths, darts! And if you're needing to eat to replenish the energy, you've got Chaps Diner to serve snacks and drinks to cool of the hot weather as well as heavy meals for lunch and dinner.
